Each month brings a speaker, a garden visit, or a hands-on workshop. Prospective members attend two meetings before applying, so get in touch and we'll arrange your visit.

   Hagley's Gardens, Behind the Scenes

   Hagley Museum & Library, Wilmington

   Cat Meholic, Hagley’s Director of Gardens and Horticulture, leads a private tour of the pollinator garden, the historic French potager, and the budding rose garden, with a look at the restoration of the Crowninshield Italianate ruin garden.

   Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research

   Christ Church, Greenville

   Marie Maiura, Public Education & Outreach Manager, on how one of the country’s leading wildlife rehabilitation centers cares for injured, orphaned, and oiled native birds, ahead of the club’s planting project at the center’s entrance this year.

   Our December meeting is the club’s holiday celebration.

   Everything You Wanted to Know About Horseshoe Crabs

   Christ Church, Greenville

   Dr. Ed Hale of the University of Delaware’s College of Earth, Ocean and Environment on the horseshoe crab, the ancient Delaware Bay creature that migratory shorebirds depend on along the Atlantic flyway.

   A private tour of the museum’s Collections & Research department, normally closed to the public, where shells, fossils, birds, and other specimens help scientists track environmental change.

   The Flower Show Committee walks members through the designs and horticulture entries for June’s show.

   A spring outing to a 99-acre family farm at the peak of its U-Pick Tulip & Daffodil Festival.

   Bartram's Garden

   Bartram's Garden, Philadelphia

   A visit to the oldest surviving botanic garden in North America and the first nationally landmarked landscape, on the banks of the Schuylkill River.

    Couture in Bloom Flower Show & Installation

    The year closes with the club’s flower show, the installation of the 2027–29 officers, and a well-earned wrap-up party.
